Goodreads Challenge Update

I started this year off well keeping you updated about how I was going with my many reading challenges, this was really for myself so I could keep track of where I was, but somewhere along the way I got behind in my updates and then just stopped. But today I found I’d met one of the biggest challenges, my goodreads challenge where I said I would read 200 books this year. Well I’ve done it! I’ve actually read a few more than that but there are some I don’t log on goodreads. There’s quite an array of different books in my challange this year and for the main part, I’ve enjoyed most of these reads.

I’ve still got nearly 12 weeks of reading, so I’m sure there will be a few more books read in that time. If you want to check out any of the books I’ve read the click on the link to MY CHALLENGE

Happy reading x

Monthly Challenge Update – February

This month has been a busy month, I got way more books read than I thought I would, but that is because many of them were only around 200 pages each. I just worked 3 nights, well if you can call it work as I only did two lifts in those 3  nights, leaving over 11 hours to read, I managed to get 6 books read in that time, my eyes were so tired I can tell you.

So for the Australian Women Writers Challenge  I read 9 books, one of those was the memoir Eggshell Skull which was a great but confronting read. Click on the link to check out any of the books I’ve read this month.

My Goodreads challenge is going great guns with 51/200 read already. I’m not sure I can really count one of them as it was only 49 pages.

feb reads

In The Aussie Author Challenge I have crossed off 4/4 books by Australian women, 1/4 by Australian men and 4/4 books by Australian authors I wasn’t familiar with. So 9/12 books crossed off already. I obviously need to find a few more Aussie male authors to chck out.

So until next month, happy reading x

Monthly reading challenge updates

I thought due to the amount of books I plan on reading this year, that I would write a monthly check-in on what I’ve read and how my different challenges are going.

At the beginning of the year I signed up to Australian Women Writers Challenge to read 40 books. I have so far read 16 books by Australian women, though 5 of those were novellas or shorter stories. I think I’ll need to change my target for AWWC.
