New Release Book Review: Mia – Lyrebird Lake by Fiona McArthur

This is book 3 in the Lyrebird Lake series by Fiona McArthur and it is another thoroughly enjoyable romance about two people hit out of the blue by that spark of love who are both a little jaded by past experiences.

I really enjoyed getting to know Mia and Angus. Angus was a lovely guy, I felt sorry for him, the way his ex treated him but loved how he took on his grown son Simon. Mia’s character was a bit prickly towards Angus to start with, but completely understandable given what her ex had put her through and the fact she’s now expecting.

The dynamics between parents and their kids can be really complicated and it was like that between Angus and his father Ned and Angus and his newly acquired son, but it was nice to see those dynamics change as the week went on.

Simon was a great character, full of mischief and vitality, for a 19-year-old, he gave Angus some good advice as well as not being afraid to tell him how it was.

It was nice to get a glimpse of how Montana and Misty were going, as well as Emma who we met in book 1, I’m really looking forward to reading her story next, she deserves to find her Mr Right.

Lyrebird Lake definitely seems to be the place to find love, if it was a real place, I’d jump on a plane and head there tomorrow.

Thanks to Fiona McArthur for a digital copy of this book in return for an honest review.
